Materials
- Black aran yarn – 280 g
- (I used YarnArt Melody in blue/black metallic)
- Dark grey yarn – 10 g
- Black safety eyes – 12 mm
- Button – approx. 3-4 cm
- Toy stuffing
- Spray starch (optional)
Equipment
- Crochet hook – 4.00 mm
- Crochet hook – 5.00 mm
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
- Stitch marker

The pattern is very long, but all the pictures are immensely helpful, and the extra pages are worth it.
My advice to those making this pattern is to make several of the first extra feather to make sure you know precisely how to do them before you start the the first feather row.
Row 1 and 2 of the feathers do end up kind of floppy--I used worsted weight wool and starch just wasn't up to the challenge. The way my daughter drapes the wrap with the feathers pointing down nullifies this issue, but with the bird head attached, that wouldn't look as good. Some other means of stiffening the feathers will probably be needed.
