I can't crochet with eyelash yarn without losing my mind so I made up all the pattern pieces of this great pattern in the acrylic that is used for the head etc. but for those pieces that then required the fur adding, I made all the stitches into the back loop only. This gives you an easily recognisable loop to stitch into with the eyelash yarn afterwards. Then I just single crocheted into those loops with the eyelash yarn and kept my sanity. It worked really well and I didn't have to buy any additional acrylic yarn than the normal pattern requires. I also only used one 50g ball of the eyelash yarn so maybe doing it this way uses less of that yarn - or maybe my tension is a bit tight. The pattern only tells you to make one leg but I made two instead and then realised why the other leg isn't necessary as it gets in the way of the curtain. Nevertheless, I'm very pleased with how the pattern turned out.
