Did you Know?
Was Freddy Krueger real? Freddy Krueger is supposed to have been inspired by a real life serial killer called Frederick Kruger from Cincinnati, Ohio in the 19th century. This was first brought to light by a Facebook post in 2017. However, this character is just as fictitious as a Nightmare on Elm Street itself. In reality, the mind of Wes Craven invented them all, except for the crochet potted cactus. That was us.
