Did you Know?

There is a Society dedicated to Highland Cattle. It’s a serious business when it comes to rearing one of the oldest registered breeds of cattle in the world. They have lower levels of fat and cholesterol and a higher protein and iron content than other beef. There’s even advice on what to call your coo. Gaelic is preferred, but we’ve stuck to traditional popular culture!

I've just finished my Tunnock Highland coo. I don't think I have ever counted as much during a pattern than this, but it was necessary and worth it though. He's going to be a gift for a veterinarian.

A wonderful pattern. Such character in this highland coo. There’s so much detail you’ll want to show him off. I thoroughly enjoyed making him. I even waited to get some Shetland wool when I went to Scotland. The only down side I found was the head. I had to add a few rounds as where the eyes should go meant they were on the top not front. As the decreased happened too quick. Also the pattern could do with telling you how far apart to place the horns/ears or add the wig first as I found my wig didn’t fit as I had to shrink it. Other than that there was loads of photos and good step by step explanations.
